If you are currently with another hosting company and prefer to retain their nameservers but still use our Exchange services, then you will need to modify the DNS (or Zone) records at your current hosting company:
STEP 1: Prepare to modify the DNS records at your current hosting company by either doing it yourself or asking the hosting company to do it for you. Many hosting companies provide a control panel by which DNS records can be modified.
STEP 2: Add the following two records:
Add a "MX" record that points to <domain.com>.s5b2.psmtp.com
|
For example, if your domain name is johnsautoshop.com, then the MX record is johnsautoshop.com.s5b2.psmtp.com. Or if you have johnsautoshop.net, then it's johnsautoshop.net.s5b2.psmtp.com |
Add a third-level domain name called "autodiscover" that points to an "A" record of 64.26.60.83
Please allow 1-2 days for the changes to go into effect.
