Global SEO values

The Global SEO values section opens up by default when you access the SEO area. (Choose the Tools tab in the upper navigation in Merchant Manager and click on the Search Engine Optimization link.)

Merchant manager allows you to make three kinds of information available:

Meta Description - This option will enable Merchant Manager to include a description of your store in web page code as description information. Descriptions are used by search engines to display a summary of a web page's content. This value is typically the description you will see on a search engine under the website title.

Meta Keywords - This option will enable Merchant Manager to include keywords you specify in the web page code of your store. Keywords are words used by search engines to link up your content to what a person might type in when searching for an item. For example, making the keyword "sports t-shirts" available to a search engine may enhance the chance of someone seeing a link to your web page if this phrase is typed in at the search engine. Usually, this value is just a comma-separated list of words and topics that are relevant to a site (i.e., words that possible website visitors would enter in a search engine to find the site.)

Website Title - This option will allow you to have your store's title included in the stores web page code. This is also helpful. NOTE: This option already has a "variable", named %STORE_NAME%. This piece of code will allow Merchant Manager to automatically incorporate your store name. You can replace the variable by typing in a different title.
