The Raw Log File is a text file that contains sequential and unanalyzed Web site statistical data. On its own, it would be difficult to make use of the data. However, when statistical programs such as Analog and Urchin use the data contained in the raw log file its value becomes readily apparent.
Based on the raw log file, Analog statistics are generated every Sunday approximately between 3am and 6am CST, and Urchin statistics are generated once a day.
The Raw Log File is refreshed (deleted) on a weekly basis. If you would like to keep these raw log files, then we suggest that you download it every week using any FTP tool.
To download the raw log file:

For customers who remain on the Linux platform, the raw log file is called access-log and is located in the home directory: /home/[domainname]/ (for example, /home/mydomain/) |
2 |
For customers who have changed their hosting platform to Windows, the raw log file is called analog.dat and is located in the stats directory: /[domainname.com]/www/stats (for example, /mydomain.com/www/stats) |
