Email Encryption


Exchange 2010 users have the ability to encrypt all outbound e-mail messages using the Email Encryption service. It digitally signs, encrypts and decrypts messages ensuring confidentiality. Furthermore, it complies with HIPAA, GLBA and SEC requirements.

 

Activate Email Encryption

Log in to SiteControl and navigate to the Exchange 2010 administration page.

Click Email Encryption.

On the subsequent Email Encryption page, click Purchase Email Encryption.

Please note the price per user. All Exchange 2010 users in your domain will be enabled with Email Encryption.

Enter the administrator's e-mail address.

Click Activate Encryption, followed by Purchase Now.

Once the purchase is confirmed, the administrator will receive an e-mail with login information to the Encrypted Mail Gateway (EMG) Console. The EMG Console is an online tool that allows the administrator to manage credentials, add policies and view reports.

For more information about EMG, please click Help on the upper-right corner of the Console.

To disable encryption, return to the Email Encryption page and click Disable Email Encryption.
