Activate SiteChat


[Please note that SiteChat is available only to our legacy customers actively using SiteChat who have been migrated to newer systems.]

SiteChat is a simple-to-use chat room that visitors or customers can access directly on your web site.

To activate SiteChat, log in to SiteControl, click Website, and click SiteChat.

On the subsequent SiteChat page, select the domain for which you wish to add SiteChat using the Currently Managing drop-down menu, and then click Add a new SiteChat (Java Chat Room).  Please note that not all plans support SiteChat.

If there is a recurring cost associated with SiteChat for your particular plan, then the next page will indicate the cost.  

If you still wish to proceed, then click Activate.

Next, select a name for your chat room in the SiteChat Room Name field,

 

and then decide whether you want the chat room to be embedded on a web page in your web site or as a separate application with its own window by using the Embed SiteChat drop-down.

Click Add SiteChat.
